Vision

To build a madrasah built on the principle of authentic Islamic Sharia. It should combine theoretical and practical knowledge equipping children with critical understanding and the ability to apply Islamic knowledge in every step of their lives.

This we learned from Imam Ali’s (a) words
“Submission to Allah’s Will is the best companion; wisdom is the noblest heritage; theoretical and practical knowledge are the best signs of distinction; deep thinking will present the clearest picture of every problem.”

Aims and Objectives

One of our goals is to instill the idea that madrassah is just as important as school. So as parents are very interested in their child’s secular development, they ought to be just as involved in their religious progress. In doing so, collectively we secure this life and the hereafter.

History

Vision Learning Center (private madrasah) was the product of a family’s concern about their daughter’s Islamic education. It evolved from an idea discussed between two, to a wide intricate web that secured the Islamic education of every child in the Khoja Shia Ithnasheri Jamaat in Mwanza, Tanzania. VLC is a madrasah built on the principle of authentic Islamic Sharia. It combines theoretical and practical knowledge equipping children with critical understanding and the ability to apply Islamic knowledge in every step of their lives.

The Search for Teachers
Ideas were vague about the subjects, the area, the age range and the times but one thing was certain: the need for qualified teachers. Those who impart knowledge need not have a university degree but rather be educated to the level that they are confident in communicating Islamic knowledge from the authentic traditions of the Ahlul Bayt as well as authentic Islamic Sharia.

It was not an easy search but by the grace of the Almighty and the help of Sheikh Nadir Jaffer from Qom, Maulana Kamoonpuri of Aligarh and Maulana Arifali Naqvi from Tanga, we narrowed the search to four teachers. Each teacher sent their resume to us and was then interviewed. After a few interviews, we found Mr. Ali Zafar Zaidi, Mrs. Ishrat Fatema, Mr. Sajjad Haider Abidi and Mr. Musayab Ali. Along with the rest of the staff members, they have worked tirelessly to establish VLC.

Vision Learning Center will be finishing its tenth year this 2019 and hand over the entire set up to Husayni Madrasah which is under Tabligh Committee of The Muslims of (KSI) Mwanza Jamaat.

It is undeniable that madrassah is the duty of the managing committee of the Jamaat and VLC has been succeeding their responsibilities for past 10 years. We believe that we have set up a modern facility and there should be no issues for Husayni Madrasah under the managing committee of The Muslims of (KSI) Mwanza Jamaat to manage their responsibility. VLC will continue offering you a helping hand if needed.

Challenges

Lack of cooperation! from the organization (The Registered Trustees, Members and Parents) if we do not transmute than Husayni madrassah will not last unless members are fine with the old type of madrassah where every parent becomes a teacher and every leader of the community becomes head of the madrasah.

Madrasah in the community can run smoothly only if we have faith in teachers if we stop interfering in day to day running of madrasah and above all if we have leaders who genuinely understand the significance of madrassah. We have to instill values such as teamwork, unity, and learning to accept victory or dealing with defeat. A true winner is the one who learns from his/her mistakes and tries harder to achieve perfection at the same time accepting the victory of others.
Teachers are the organs of the madrassah. The success behind any organization is having trained personnel and professionals in the field.
