OVERVIEW
Since 2019, the Madrasah Centre of Excellence (MCE) has been running the Spiritual Development Programme (SDP) – a highly impactful training course designed to support the growth of Madrasah teachers.
The SDP combines modern, interactive teaching methods with the timeless wisdom of Islamic scholarship. It provides teachers with practical tools to strengthen their own spirituality and, in turn, positively shape the lives of the children they teach.
Packed with useful tips, relatable real-life examples, inspirational stories of pious individuals, and reflections on carefully selected Qur’anic verses and traditions, the programme offers a unique and transformative learning experience for every teacher.
COURSE CONTENT
The SDP is typically delivered over a single weekend and is structured into two parts:
Part 1: Foundations
This section lays the groundwork for spiritual development by introducing the key concepts, principles, and theories that underpin the journey of spiritual growth.
Participants:
– Discover the transformative role of a spiritually developed teacher
– Explore the link between knowledge, teaching, and spirituality
– Examine the soul and its major faculties
– Learn Prophetic approaches to nurturing and guiding the soul
Day 2: Five Step Practical Programme for Spiritual Development
Building on the foundations of Part 1, this section takes a practical approach, offering a clear, step-by-step guide to integrating spiritual development into everyday life.
Participants learn about:
– Repentance
– Self-conditioning
– Self-monitoring
– Self-accounting
– Self-deterring
MANUAL, WORKBOOK AND CERTIFICATE
Each participant receives a Manual, a Workbook, and a Certificate from the MCE to support and recognise their learning journey.
